Job Description & Summary
Internal Audit is a criticalfunction that provides independent assurance on the effectiveness of anorganisation’s governance, risk management, and internal control processes.
At PwC, our Internal Auditprofessionals go beyond traditional compliance and financial reporting todeliver insights that drive strategic value and operational excellence. Wepartner with clients across industries to assess and enhance their controlenvironments, identify and mitigate risks, and improve business processes.
As a Senior Associate, you willplay a key role in delivering high-quality internal audit engagements, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to the development ofinnovative solutions that help our clients navigate complexity and change.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering internal auditengagements in line with agreed objectives, scope, and budget, prioritisingtasks effectively to ensure each internal audit is delivered on time and to thehighest quality standards while maintaining exceptional client service.
- Identifying key business andaudit risks, evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of relevantcontrols and developing appropriate testing methodologies
- Communicating regularly withengagement leadership (Manager, Senior Managers, Director, or Partner) toprovide updates on the progress, emerging issues, and audit findings
- Preparing clear, insightfulreports that highlight control deficiencies and provide practical, value-addingrecommendations for remediation and improvement.
- Reviewing and coaching juniorteam members to ensure quality, thoroughness, completeness and completion oftasks within agreed time frames, while fostering a culture of continuouslearning and development.
- Collaborating effectively withincross-functional teams, sharing knowledge, raising relevant issues, andcontributing to a positive team environment.
- Supporting Business Developmentinitiatives, including the preparation of competitive proposals, presentations,and thought leadership materials.
- Embracing digital tools andinnovation, leveraging data analytics and technology to enhance audit qualityand efficiency.
Education / professionalqualifications:
- A recognised University Degree orequivalent
- Qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalentfrom a recognised accounting institution is an advantage
- Internal audit qualification anadvantage
- IT audit qualification andexperience an advantage.
- Familiarity with data analyticstools (e.g. Power BI, Alteryx), AI and audit management platforms is aplus.
- At least 4 years practiceaccounting / Internal Audit experience in a Big 4 firm, other internationalaccounting firm or large internal audit department
