Role Overview

As Mechanical Project Manager you will lead and manage the delivery of mechanical elements on a major project in Galway. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing mechanical works from project start‑up through to handover, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to specification.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical project delivery, ensuring execution meets programme, quality, safety and budget targets.
  • Attend project kick‑off meetings; interpret contract requirements and project specifications.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, labour plans and progress trackers.
  • Prepare, review and issue technical submittals and monitor approval progress.
  • Coordinate delivery of plant, materials and major equipment to site.
  • Manage reporting processes, variations and change control with main contractor and client teams.
  • Chair or attend project and subcontractor meetings as required.
  • Implement the commissioning plan and oversee final handover processes.
  • Maintain project documentation through the organisation’s document management system.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in a mechanical or M&E project management role (typically senior level).
  • Strong track record of delivering medium to large‑scale mechanical construction or installation projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and liaising with subcontractors and contractors.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and coordination skills.
  • Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or similar is desirable.
  • Competence with project scheduling tools and Microsoft Office.
