Mechanical Design Engineer

Syntech Recruitment are working with a leading company that is recognised globally for its innovative products within the agriculture sector. They are looking to expand its engineering team and this role is focused on mechanical design, testing, and validation of new products. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in engineering design, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience in CAD, hydraulic schematics, and sheet metal design. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research for new Research and Development projects.
• Prepare and develop product specifications and design inputs for new projects.
• Support and improve existing designs, focusing on innovation and efficiency.
• Interpret and create hydraulic schematics.
• Design production fixtures and troubleshoot production issues alongside engineers.
• Assist customer support engineers with in-field troubleshooting.
• Develop and validate test programs for new designs.
• Carry out risk assessments for product development.
• Adhere to engineering data management processes (PDM).

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (required).
• 3+ years of experience in agriculture (preferred).
• Strong CAD skills, particularly in drafting, sheet metal design, and FE analysis.
• Experience with design verification, prototyping, and validation.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Must drive due to remote location.
