Digital Project Manager

Pixel is a growing web design and development firm located in Edmonton, AB, and we are looking for an experienced full-time Project Manager to join our team as the central hub of everything we do.

• Own the delivery of web projects from sales handoff through warranty close — you're responsible for making sure things ship on time, on budget, and within scope.
• Lead client communication and expectation management. You're the primary point of contact during delivery, and you know how to have the tough conversations early.
• Coordinate workloads across our team of designers, developers, and our Solutions Architect — keeping everyone aligned and unblocked.
• Build and manage work-back schedules, lead kickoff meetings, and run weekly client and internal check-ins.
• Monitor project budgets, track burn vs. estimate, and issue change requests when scope shifts.
• Translate client feedback into developer-ready requirements and reprioritize work as needed.
• Lead project wrap-ups including close-out communications, post-project reflections, and handoffs to support or account management.
• Continuously improve our project management systems and processes across Notion and Float.

• Advanced familiarity with Float and Notion (or similar project management and resource planning tools).
• Strong understanding of WordPress and web development workflows — you don't need to write the code, but you need to understand how it gets built.
• Experience with budgeting, margin tracking, and financial accountability on projects.
• Solid grasp of the agency project lifecycle, from discovery through launch and warranty.
• Understanding of Agile vs. Waterfall trade-offs and when to apply each.
• Knowledge of change management principles.

• High emotional intelligence — you can read a room, manage conflict, and set boundaries with confidence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Clear, structured communication isn't optional here — it's mandatory.
• Strong organizational ability with the capacity to juggle multiple concurrent projects at different stages.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently. You manage your own workload, determine meeting cadences, and make day-to-day delivery decisions.
• Analytical thinking and financial awareness — you're comfortable working with numbers and spotting red flags early.
• Have a good time & joke around, but also know when to buckle down.

• Significant project management experience.
• Experience in a digital agency or web development environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects and leading cross-functional teams.
• Proven financial accountability for project margins.

• PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification.
• Experience with Asana, Everhour, or similar tools in addition to Float/Notion.
• Familiarity with eCommerce project delivery (WooCommerce, Shopify).
• Experience writing or refining Statements of Work and project documentation.

• Full-time salaried position.
