The Johnson Brothers network team is responsible for all aspects of networking, communications, physical security, and collaboration across 30+ US-based locations for the 4th largest liquor distributor in the country. Our network is comprised of mission-critical services requiring stability, reliability, and performance optimization. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to help identify, plan, and implement improvements in Johnson Brothers' network and physical security infrastructure. They will take part in the day-to-day operations of the network team, including but not limited to handling service tickets, working with vendors, supporting on-prem and cloud-based enterprise camera systems, and performing network and security maintenance. Our team is focused on building the infrastructure needed to ensure reliable access across all methods to connect to our network resources and physical security systems. We strive to anticipate our users' needs and deliver solutions that exceed their expectations. Minimum Qualifications: Extensive experience working in an enterprise network. Networking education, vendor certification (CCNP), or equivalent work experience. Ability to work independently and with a team Ability to plan, lead, and implement complex projects Advanced network troubleshooting skills 7+ years of networking experience Additional Desirable Qualifications: Experience implementing and troubleshooting SD-WAN networks Advanced experience with enterprise switch infrastructure Advanced wireless knowledge, including implementation and troubleshooting Palo Alto enterprise firewall experience Packet capture analysis experience Network design experience Experience with enterprise physical security systems, including on-prem and cloud-managed camera platforms (e.g., Verkada, Alta, Avigilon, etc.) Familiarity with physical access control systems and their network dependencies. Duties and Responsibilities: Be a leader in a high-performing team of network engineers responsible for: Data Center Networking Maintaining Firewall rule sets and overall health SD-WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi across our branches nationwide Supporting a cloud-driven phone system, collaboration tools, and all meeting room technologies. Physical security infrastructure, including: On-prem and cloud-managed enterprise camera systems Camera network design, deployment, and lifecycle management Video storage, retention, and secure access controls Vendor coordination for camera installations, cabling, and maintenance Monitoring and troubleshooting camera system health and performance Additional responsibilities: Leading projects and troubleshooting on the front lines with other members of Johnson Brothers IT personnel. Communicate with and engage with internal business partners, management, and key stakeholders. Monitor and maintain the health of network infrastructure, lead efforts to continually improve stability of the enterprise network. Plan, lead, and implement network changes, and communicate the impact of changes to the business. Help determine priorities for the network team. Mentor junior network engineers. Work trouble tickets, create and update documentation for network team. Location: St Paul, MN or Raleigh, NC Hybrid working with on-site presence as needed Some travel required The expected pay range for this role is $79,635.48 - $135,006.90. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity, union status (where applicable) and alignment with market data.
