IT Systems Administrator

• IT Systems Administrator – Maynooth, Co Kildare based permanent position.
• Hybrid (2 to 3 days onsite).
• Some occasional local travel. Own car desirable.

• Oversee daily IT operations of a company producing 50 million per year in revenue and with 230 direct staff – ensuring system reliability, security, and performance.
• Lead infrastructure projects, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and manage vendor relationships.
• This role has the scope to develop into an IT Manager position, for a candidate who is highly motivated and eager to progress their career.

• Proven 5 years working experience in IT administration or a similar role.
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware / software systems
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
• BS in Computer Science, MIS or similar field

• Managing information technology and computer systems
• Serving as the first point of contact for IT support within the organization.
• Installing, configuring and maintaining software and hardware components of computer / mobile and network systems.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
• Repairing and replacing damaged computer / mobile and network components.
• Ensuring the security of client and remote computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software.
• Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly.
• Controlling and evaluating IT and electronic data operations
• Manage information technology and computer systems
• Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
• Audit systems and assess their outcomes
• Preserve assets, information security and control structures
• Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
• Ensure all Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety requirements are met.
• Managing client relationships with the promotion of Customer focus.
• Vendor Management; MSP, suppliers and services
• ISO 27001 Audits
