A leading international consulting organisation is expanding its Capital Programme Delivery team within its Business Consulting practice. The team supports major infrastructure and capital investment programmes across sectors including energy, utilities, transport, housing, and healthcare.


The practice partners with clients across the full lifecycle of large-scale capital projects — from procurement and construction through to operations — delivering commercial insight, governance, and project controls expertise.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support infrastructure clients in developing and implementing effective project controls across scope, schedule, cost, and quality
  • Establish project baselines and monitor performance against defined metrics
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including critical path analysis and resource planning
  • Monitor project budgets, track variances, and produce clear reporting to support decision-making
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks through structured risk management approaches
  • Facilitate progress reviews and provide stakeholders with updates on milestones and performance
  • Utilise project controls tools and systems to improve visibility and reporting accuracy
  • Contribute to proposals, bids, and cost estimates through data-driven analysis
  • Support continuous improvement and provide guidance to junior team members
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, governance frameworks, and best practice methodologies

Internal Responsibilities

  • Support client engagement delivery, including financial and quality management
  • Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to business development activities and project proposals
  • Support team capability development through mentoring and knowledge sharing
  • Participate in recruitment, training, and performance development initiatives

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline
  • Experience in project controls or project management within infrastructure or capital projects
  • Strong knowledge of project xcfaprz planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or equivalent)
  • Understanding of design and construction sequencing and programme logic
  • Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder project environments
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Professional certifications such as PRINCE2 or PMP are advantageous
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland
