**Project is in Boise, ID**


The Piping Construction Manager will report to the Project Director and oversee all aspects of heavy piping construction for complex projects, from preconstruction through turnover. This role requires a hands-on leader with experience managing field teams, subcontractors, and project documentation. The position will be fully on-site, with a combination of office and field responsibilities. Procore experience is required.


Essential Responsibilities:

·         Lead all phases of heavy piping construction, including preconstruction planning, procurement, scheduling, installation, and commissioning.

·         Ensure project scope, schedule, and budget are achieved while maintaining quality and safety standards.

·         Coordinate closely with clients, design consultants, and trade partners to ensure alignment of deliverables and performance standards.

·         Oversee subcontractor buyout, contract execution, change orders, and performance tracking for all piping-related work.

·         Manage billing, schedule of values, and generate monthly client invoices.

·         Provide guidance and mentorship to field crews, ensuring proper installation practices and adherence to project specifications.

·         Maintain transparent communication and proactive problem-solving with internal and external stakeholders.

·         Support project closeout, commissioning, and turnover documentation.


Qualifications:

Professional Experience and Education:

·         High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Construction Management preferred.

·         Minimum of three (3) years of project management experience with a General Contractor, with proven success on large-scale heavy piping or industrial construction projects.

·         Strong knowledge of heavy piping systems, installation practices, commissioning processes, and QC best practices. LEED Accreditation preferred or ability to obtain within 18–24 months.


Position-Related Skills:

·         Procore experience required, along with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) and other project management tools (Prolog, E-Builder, Bluebeam, Primavera P6).

·         Experience with design software including AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, and Navisworks.

·         Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and survey data for piping systems.

·         Skilled in organizing technical data, documenting field activities, and applying CSI specifications.

·         Strong field and personnel management experience, including multi-trade coordination.

·         Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills under high-pressure environments.

·         Exceptional written and oral communication skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of project teams.

·         Flexible schedule to accommodate extended hours or off-shift work to support construction sequencing.


Preferred:

·         Experience with mission-critical facilities, industrial/commercial piping systems, and complex piping installations.

·         Strong understanding of commissioning procedures, testing, and start-up of piping systems.

·         Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams to maintain high-quality standards and project efficiency.
