Role Overview:
Our Toronto office is currently seeking a Network Infrastructure Analyst in our Information Technology department, reporting to the Manager, IT Infrastructure. The Network Infrastructure Analyst is responsible for ensuring that an organization’s network systems are reliable, secure, and optimized for performance, both in physical environments and on Microsoft Azure. The Network Infrastructure Analyst must have strong technical experience in enterprise networking, Microsoft Azure, server virtualization, and security solutions. This role is critical for the business and requires someone who is flexible enough to provide on-call support when necessary.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Infrastructure Management:
- Developing and maintaining network architecture, including LAN, WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and cloud connectivity.
- Implementing, supporting and maintaining Microsoft Azure Landing Zone.
- Implementing advanced routing, switching, and WAN optimization.
- Administering WAN services, including MPLS, LAN Extension, IPSec tunnels, ISP providers, and cloud ExpressRoute connections.
- Integrating and supporting cloud services to enhance scalability, flexibility, and cost-efficiency.
- Configuring and supporting VMware and network storage.
Security & Compliance:
- Configuring and managing internet firewalls and security policies.
- Supporting and managing Network Access Control (NAC) system.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal protocols.
- Maintaining security patches and monitor data communications for risks.
- Participating in change management processes.
- Maintaining inventory of equipment, spare parts, and materials.
Performance & Troubleshooting:
- Continuously monitoring network performance, identify bottlenecks, and resolve connectivity issues.
- Providing 24/7 support as required.
- Responding to after-hours emergencies and lead resolution efforts.
Documentation & Training:
- Maintaining network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Keeping network infrastructure inventory up to date.
The successful candidate must have the following education, experience and/or demonstrated skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate; Industry leader firewall certification or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years in enterprise networking and security.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN.
- Experience with TCP/IP, EIGRP, VLANs, QoS, ACLs, VSS, DNS, DHCP, MPLS, Point-to-Point, IPSEC VPN, Cisco Meraki and Catalyst IOS CLI, Windows Server Active Directory/Microsoft Entra ID, WiFi protocols, VPN, NetScaler load balancers, SolarWinds network monitoring, SD-WAN, VMware networking, and Azure networking (NSG, ExpressRoute, Peering).
- Proficiency with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Working experience with Microsoft Azure platform management.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage changing priorities and learn new technologies.
- Professional demeanor in meetings.
- Law firm and multi-office experience is an asset.
Employment Type : Permanent, Full-Time
Salary Range: $82,000 - $95,000 Annually
