We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Technician to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is essential for ensuring the reliable operation of our warehouse equipment and infrastructure, directly supporting our logistics network. You will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring all machinery operates safely and efficiently. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is required, along with a commitment to upholding rigorous safety standards. Tasks may involve occasional lifting and working in diverse warehouse environments. Adherence to all PPE requirements is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on warehouse machinery, including forklifts, conveyors, and automated systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition and meets all safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Respond promptly to equipment failures and perform necessary repairs.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and regulations.
- Wear appropriate PPE , such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots, at all times.
- Contribute to the efficiency of our logistics operations through reliable equipment maintenance.
- Tasks may include manual labor and moderate lifting .
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician in a warehouse or industrial setting is required.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and equipment common in logistics .
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Skilled in the use of various hand and power tools.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
- Must be able to wear all required PPE and perform duties in a warehouse setting.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as climbing, kneeling, and lifting .
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
