Join our thriving logistics team in San Francisco, California as a Forklift Operator. We are searching for an experienced and reliable individual to manage the movement of goods within our facility. This role requires a strong focus on operational efficiency and adherence to strict safety standards. You will be operating various types of forklifts to load, unload, and transport inventory, ensuring the smooth functioning of our warehouse operations. The role involves handling diverse materials, and consistent lifting of packaged goods will be a part of your daily tasks. Ensuring compliance with all PPE requirements is mandatory for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move pallets, raw materials, and finished goods.
- Load and unload trailers and containers with accuracy and speed.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any defects or maintenance needs.
- Follow all warehouse procedures and safety regulations.
- Properly store and stack inventory to maximize space and maintain organization.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Wear all required PPE , including hard hats, safety glasses, and work boots.
- Demonstrate a keen awareness of surroundings to prevent accidents and damage to goods or property.
- Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals within the logistics framework.
- Be prepared for tasks involving moderate to heavy lifting .
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Knowledge of warehouse equipment and logistics procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to operate machinery safely.
- Understanding of load capacities and stability.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that require regular lifting and moving of objects.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all guidelines.
- Must be able to wear and utilize all necessary PPE .
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
