We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in Denver, Colorado. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of operations within our busy warehouse. You will be handling a variety of materials, requiring precision and attention to detail to prevent damage and ensure accuracy. This position is integral to our logistics operations, supporting the overall efficiency of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric, propane) to transport goods throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working order and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as needed.
- Safely handle and move materials, which may involve significant lifting .
- Follow all loading and unloading procedures to ensure product integrity.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or unusual situations to management.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics .
- Strong understanding of forklift operating procedures and safety regulations.
- Ability to perform regular checks and maintenance on equipment.
- Excellent physical condition and stamina, with the ability to perform strenuous tasks including heavy lifting .
- Must be able to wear required PPE , including steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and gloves.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Team player with good communication skills.
