We are hiring Material Handlers for our Richmond, Virginia facility! As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts and other equipment, and ensuring inventory is organized and accessible. This role is key to our overall logistics operations, supporting receiving, storage, and shipping functions. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and stack materials in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Assist with inventory management and stock counts.
- Ensure all materials are handled according to safety regulations.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on equipment.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, with a focus on safety and logistics efficiency.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times while operating machinery or in designated areas.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 60 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and material handling techniques.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Must wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
