Our Kansas City, Missouri facility is seeking Picker/Packers to join our dedicated warehouse team! In this role, you will be crucial in fulfilling customer orders with accuracy and efficiency. Your primary responsibilities will involve picking products from warehouse storage locations based on order specifications and then carefully packaging these items for shipment. This position requires a sharp eye for detail, speed, and a commitment to upholding our quality standards. Working in a dynamic Logistics environment, you'll contribute to timely order fulfillment, a key aspect of customer satisfaction. A strong emphasis on workplace Safety is maintained, and all team members are required to follow established procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ).
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves using RF scanners or pick sheets according to customer order details.
- Verify picked items against order requirements to confirm product and quantity accuracy.
- Package picked items securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials to ensure product protection during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and any required documentation to outgoing packages.
- Stage packed orders in designated areas for carrier pickup.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all warehouse and Safety standards.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as directed.
- Promptly communicate any order issues or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and Logistics concepts is helpful.
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and the correct use of PPE .
