We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our Fort Worth, Texas warehouse team. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, organization, and storage of goods within our facility. You will operate various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to transport products to and from receiving, storage, and shipping areas. A strong focus on inventory accuracy and maintaining a clean, safe work environment is crucial. This role is a cornerstone of our Logistics operations, ensuring that materials are accessible and managed effectively. Your dedication to following all established Safety procedures and utilizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ) is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and supplies to and from designated warehouse locations.
- Organize and stock inventory in assigned areas, ensuring proper placement and accessibility.
- Assist in receiving and shipping operations by staging materials as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of material handling equipment to ensure proper working order and report any issues.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts, ensuring accuracy of records.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment, adhering strictly to all Safety protocols.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
- Identify and report any damaged goods or potential Safety hazards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse capacity.
- Valid forklift certification is required (or willingness to obtain certification).
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting up to 50-75 lbs, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling equipment.
- Understanding of Logistics principles and inventory management.
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of workplace Safety and proper use of PPE .
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
