We are looking for a certified Forklift Operator to join our San Jose, California warehouse team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise within the warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of materials and ensuring timely order fulfillment. Your expertise in operating forklifts and your commitment to Safety are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials around the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Transport goods to and from designated storage areas, production areas, or shipping docks.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment, often involving complex inventory locations.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring aisles are clear and materials are stored correctly.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse Safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as directed.
- Support overall logistics operations by ensuring efficient movement of goods.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform tasks involving significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet performance expectations.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory management is a plus.
