Join our bustling warehouse team in San Diego, California, as an Order Picker! We are seeking energetic and dependable individuals to contribute to our efficient order fulfillment process. As an Order Picker, your main responsibility will be to accurately gather items from various locations within the warehouse to fulfill customer orders. This role is critical to our logistics success, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products. You will need a sharp eye for detail, the ability to work at a steady pace, and excellent spatial awareness. We value individuals who are reliable, self-motivated, and committed to upholding high standards of quality and Safety . You will be provided with necessary training on our systems and procedures. Success in this role depends on your ability to consistently meet picking targets while minimizing errors. Expect to be on your feet for most of your shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Select and gather products from warehouse locations according to order slips or scanning equipment.
- Ensure the accuracy of picked items by verifying product codes and quantities.
- Transport picked items to packing stations or designated staging areas.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks when necessary.
- Maintain tidiness and organization within the picking zones and the overall warehouse.
- Strictly follow all established Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Use required PPE consistently and correctly.
- Achieve set goals for order picking speed and accuracy.
- Participate in inventory checks and cycle counts as requested.
- Support the broader warehouse and logistics functions as directed.
This role involves considerable standing, walking, bending, and lifting of merchandise, often weighing up to 50 pounds. A proactive approach to safety and efficient work practices is expected.
