Our expanding warehouse facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is seeking motivated Warehouse Associates to contribute to our efficient logistics operations. As a Warehouse Associate, you will perform a variety of tasks essential to the smooth running of the warehouse, including receiving and inspecting incoming goods, picking and packing orders, stocking shelves, and preparing items for shipment. This role requires a keen eye for detail, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to workplace safety, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and collaborate closely with a team of dedicated professionals. Your ability to work efficiently and accurately will directly impact our ability to meet customer demands and maintain our reputation for reliable logistics. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory for accuracy and damage.
- Pick and pack customer orders according to specifications.
- Stock received goods onto warehouse shelves and designated areas.
- Organize and maintain inventory in a clean and orderly manner.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, including labeling and staging.
- Operate manual and powered warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper PPE usage.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and participate in cycle counts.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational targets.
- Support overall logistics flow through diligent work.
- Report any issues or discrepancies to a supervisor promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of inventory control and logistics.
