Job Summary:
Join our team in Des Moines, Iowa, as a Picker/Packer and play a vital role in our warehouse operations. You will be instrumental in ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. Responsibilities:
  • Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets.
  • Inspect items for damage before packing.
  • Pack orders securely and efficiently, using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
  • Label packages with shipping information, ensuring accuracy.
  • Operate scanning equipment to track inventory movements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized packing station and work area.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Lift and move packages as required, up to the designated weight limit.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet order fulfillment targets.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a picking or packing role is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand order forms.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks involving standing, bending, reaching, and frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
  • Attention to detail is crucial for accurate order fulfillment.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic logistics setting.
