Join our vibrant warehouse team in Miami, Florida, as a Material Handler! This role is essential for the efficient movement and organization of materials within our facility. You will be responsible for handling, storing, and transporting various goods, playing a crucial part in our overall Logistics operations. We are seeking individuals with a strong commitment to physical work, accuracy, and upholding high standards of workplace Safety .
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies.
- Sort, label, and store materials in designated areas according to established procedures.
- Transport materials to and from different departments or staging areas using equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
- Prepare materials for shipment or further processing, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to all regulations.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Wear all required PPE at all times, including safety shoes, gloves, and eye protection.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stocktaking.
- Support the smooth flow of goods within the Logistics supply chain.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring frequent bending, stooping, and significant Lifting of up to 60 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and material handling procedures.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
- Ability to operate standard warehouse equipment.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Logistics principles is a plus.
- Must be able to consistently wear and utilize required PPE .
