Seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk for our Sacramento, California facility! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, responsible for accurately documenting, inspecting, and organizing all received goods. Your attention to detail and organizational skills are paramount to ensuring the integrity of our inventory and the efficiency of our logistics operations. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain smooth receiving processes. A strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to safety are essential. We value individuals who are proactive, reliable, and dedicated to maintaining a high standard of work.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from vendors and carriers.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and stage received goods for appropriate distribution within the warehouse.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments to resolve any receiving issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed to move and store inventory (certification may be required).
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control and audits as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and computer systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
