We are seeking an organized and efficient Shipping Clerk to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. The Shipping Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of all outgoing shipments. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring that products reach our customers without issue. If you have a strong attention to detail and enjoy working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, this position is for you.
Responsibilities:
- Process all outgoing shipments, verifying order accuracy and destination details.
- Prepare shipping labels, manifests, and necessary documentation.
- Package items securely, ensuring they meet shipping carrier requirements.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup schedules and track shipment progress.
- Inspect outgoing packages for any damage or errors before dispatch.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and management regarding shipping status and any issues.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support the overall logistics flow.
- Perform duties related to Lifting and moving packages as required for preparation and staging.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, or logistics role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Physical ability to handle packages and perform tasks requiring Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards and the importance of using PPE.
