We are hiring a dedicated Material Handler for our Durham, North Carolina facility. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your contributions are vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that inventory is properly handled, stored, and prepared for shipment or production. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items throughout the facility using various equipment.
- Pick and pack orders accurately according to instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all warehouse safety standards.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely and proficiently.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Comply with all company policies, particularly those related to safety, including the correct use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Support the logistics team by ensuring materials are readily available and accurately staged.
- Follow all guidelines for safe Lifting and handling of goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is advantageous.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment is a strong asset.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including Lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Knowledge of and adherence to safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient logistics environment.
This role is fundamental to our supply chain's success. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, efficiency, and safety are top priorities. We expect our Material Handlers to be proactive in identifying and resolving potential issues related to material flow and logistics.
