About the Role
This fulltime opportunity is expected to run for approximately 6 months with the possibility of extension. As a Business Intelligence Engineer supporting the IoT Networking team, you will translate complex telematics and cellular connectivity data into actionable insights that improve network performance, fleet visibility, and cost efficiency. In this role, you will design and maintain the data infrastructure used to monitor connectivity health and support datadriven decision making across engineering and networking teams responsible for vehicle connectivity systems.
What you will be doing: Partner with IoT networking and engineering teams to define key performance indicators that measure connectivity performance and network health. Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines that ingest and transform highvolume telematics and carrier connectivity data. Develop dashboards and visualizations that provide realtime insight into network availability, latency, throughput, and connectivity usage across the fleet. Analyze carrier costs and connectivity usage trends to identify opportunities for spend optimization and operational efficiency. Conduct deep analytical investigations to diagnose network anomalies, recurring connectivity failures, and irregular data usage patterns. Collaborate with crossfunctional stakeholders to translate operational requirements into reliable data models and reporting frameworks. Maintain thorough documentation of data models, schema definitions, and metrics to support data transparency and consistency across teams. About You
You are a technically strong analytics professional who enjoys working with complex datasets and building reliable analytics infrastructure. You thrive in collaborative environments and are motivated by transforming large volumes of operational data into insights that help engineering and networking teams improve system performance and make informed decisions.
Required Qualifications:
Background in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related technical discipline. 6+ years of professional experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, or data engineering roles. Strong proficiency in SQL and dbt for data transformation and modeling. Experience building dimensional data models for analytics and reporting environments. Experience using data visualization tools such as Looker. Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with stakeholders to deliver impactful data solutions. Preferred Qualifications:
Dbt certification. Experience working with Airflow. Background in analytics engineering. Experience analyzing infrastructure, networking, or telecommunications data.
