Location - New York City / Jersey City (Hybrid, 2-3 days onsite)
About the Role
A growing Swiss technology consultancy is hiring a Lead Engineer / Solutions Architect to support the delivery of a major new client project in Jersey City.
This role sits at the intersection of architecture, engineering, and client engagement. You will act as the primary technical interface between the client and distributed engineering teams, helping translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
The position offers the opportunity to play a key role in the company's first major US project, working closely with leadership and international engineering teams across Switzerland and Vietnam.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary technical contact for the client, working onsite in Jersey City 2-3 days per week Translate business and technical requirements into clear engineering specifications Support architecture decisions and solution design across the project lifecycle Collaborate closely with distributed engineering teams to coordinate delivery Ensure alignment between client expectations and technical implementation Provide technical guidance and support throughout development and delivery phases Help shape best practices for client engagement and technical delivery What We're Looking For
Strong background in software engineering, solution architecture, or technical product ownership Experience working in client facing technical roles Ability to translate complex requirements into practical engineering solutions Experience collaborating with distributed or international engineering teams Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Comfortable working directly with enterprise clients Based in, or able to commute to, the New York City / Jersey City area What's on Offer
