SUMMARY
Reporting into the VP, Financial Planning & Analysis, the Senior Manager, Analytics & Insights is responsible for designing, building, and operationalizing the enterprise analytics and management reporting ecosystem, distinct from core FP&A planning and forecasting activities. This role focuses on converting data into standardized, self-serve, and executive-ready insights that enable better decisions across operations, commercial, and support functions, while partnering closely with the Executive team, FP&A, and IT.
PRIMARY SCOPE OF ROLE
MANAGEMENT REPORTING STRATEGY & GOVERNANCE
- Own the vision, design, and execution of the multi‑year Management Reporting Roadmap, including governance, sequencing of initiatives, and alignment with enterprise strategy.
- Develop and maintain cross‑functional KPI frameworks and performance views (e.g., operational efficiency, project performance, commercial effectiveness, customer metrics) that complement FP&A’s financial lenses.
- Lead the design and build of executive dashboards and management packs that integrate financial, operational, and commercial indicators into a single source of truth for senior leadership.
STANDARDIZATION, AUTOMATION & SELF‑SERVICE ENABLEMENT
- Lead the standardization and automation of management reporting (dashboards, scorecards, KPI packs) across functions, ensuring consistency of definitions, hierarchies, and visual design.
- Champion and enable self‑service analytics through certified data sets, standardized visuals, and training materials empowering business users to explore data independently.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities in analytics processes (e.g., automation of manual reports, reducing offline Excel work, improving refresh cycles).
CROSS‑FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION & TEAM LEADERSHIP
- Collaborate with IT, Data, and Finance teams to enhance data quality, structures, models, and governance supporting management reporting, ensuring timely, controlled updates from source systems.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of analytics professionals focused on BI development, data storytelling, and reporting innovation.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- 9+ years of progressive experience in analytics, business intelligence, or related roles
- Demonstrated success in designing and executing a management reporting or BI roadmap, including stakeholder alignment, prioritization, and implementation of new reporting capabilities.
- Advanced skills with data visualization and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and strong Excel proficiency, with a track record of building scalable, governed reporting solutions.
- Experience working with ERP and other core systems (e.g., JD Edwards or similar) and translating raw data into curated, reliable datasets and models.
- Exceptional communication and influence skills, with the ability to bridge technical, financial, and operational stakeholders
- Proven ability to lead through change, manage competing priorities, and deliver durable solutions in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with a focus on building a high-performing analytics team and fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Expected Base Salary: $145,000 - $160,000 per year. The actual base salary will depend on several factors including experience, qualifications, internal equity, work location and market expectations.
