JOB STATEMENT:

Reporting to the Manager, Investment Administration, the Investment Administrator works in a

fast-paced environment and is responsible for processing segregated fund trades and performing a variety of administrative tasks within the department. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy. This role requires strong analytical and research abilities, as well as the initiative to proactively identify and resolve issues.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Executing segregated fund trades with accuracy and efficiency;
  • Opening new accounts for Segregated Funds, Annuities, and Guaranteed Investment Accounts (GIAs);
  • Delivering timely and accurate annuity quotes upon request;
  • Tracking, monitoring, and proactively following up on pending transfers and trades;
  • Preparing, completing, and distributing investment applications and related documentation;
  • Producing assigned reports and carry out administrative tasks as directed by the Manager, Investment Administration;
  • Communicating professionally and build strong, service-focused relationships with advisors; and
  • Reviewing and resolving daily transaction exceptions to ensure processing accuracy.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education
  • 1 –2 years similar experience within the investment industry an asset
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Strong customer focus, service orientation and professional acumen
  • Excellent communication, organizational and listening skills
  • Dedicated team player with the ability to take the initiative and be independent
  • Knowledge of Wealthserv an asset
