Company Description

Yanko Popovic Sidhu is a trusted law firm with decades of experience serving Calgary and the surrounding areas. Practicing primarily in Personal Injury Law, the firm is looking to expand its team with the addition of a motivated and capable Legal Assistant.


Role Description

The legal assistant will work closely with counsel to support personal injury and occasionally other legal files from intake through resolution. This includes organizing evidence, preparing documentation, coordinating with medical providers, communicating with clients, and assisting with the litigation processes. The position is full‑time, in‑office, five days per week in Calgary.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Manage client files, including intake, document organization, and ongoing updates.
  • Draft, format, and prepare legal correspondence, settlement packages, and court‑related materials.
  • Request, track, and organize medical records, employment information, and other evidence relevant to personal injury claims.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, insurers, medical offices, and opposing counsel.
  • Schedule meetings, examinations, and other key milestones in the litigation or settlement process.
  • Support counsel with trial preparation where required, including document briefs and evidence summaries.
  • Maintain accurate records, deadlines, and task lists to ensure files move forward efficiently.



Qualifications

  • Experience as a legal assistant or administrative professional is an asset but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and comfort learning legal practice tools.
  • Professionalism, discretion, and a client‑service mindset.
  • Must be located in Calgary and able to work on‑site five days per week.
  • NCA candidates will not be considered for this position.
