Join our innovative team as a Warehouse Technician in San Diego, California. This role is essential for maintaining the operational efficiency and integrity of our warehouse facilities. You will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and troubleshooting of various warehouse equipment, including conveyors, automated systems, and other machinery critical to our logistics operations. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is highly desirable. Your primary focus will be on preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance of all warehouse equipment. You'll also be involved in responding to immediate repair needs, ensuring the continuous flow of goods. Safety is our top priority, and you will be expected to strictly follow all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE . This position requires the ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting and work in various warehouse environments. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment (conveyors, sorters, forklifts, etc.).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Implement preventative maintenance schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to address equipment issues.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Operate equipment as needed for testing and repair.
- Assist with general warehouse duties when required.
- Participate in safety training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience in maintaining and repairing industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with logistics equipment is a plus.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Willingness to wear appropriate PPE , including safety glasses and gloves.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 75 lbs and work in varied warehouse conditions.
