Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting customer orders from our warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. Your attention to detail and efficiency are critical to ensuring our customers receive their correct items promptly. You will work in a fast-paced environment alongside a dedicated team, contributing to the overall success of our distribution center. A commitment to safety and accuracy is paramount in this position.
Responsibilities:
  • Accurately pick items from warehouse locations using handheld scanners and pick lists.
  • Verify product information and quantities against order specifications.
  • Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely to move merchandise.
  • Package selected items securely for shipping, ensuring product protection.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
  • Adhere to all company safety regulations and guidelines, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Meet or exceed established productivity and accuracy goals.
  • Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with stock organization.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding order status or potential issues.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in order picking, warehousing, or a related logistics role is beneficial.
  • Ability to read and interpret product codes, labels, and order instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to consistently perform lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics flow.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team.
  • Reliable attendance and a proactive approach to assigned tasks.
