Our Raleigh, North Carolina facility is looking for an efficient and accurate Order Picker to join our dedicated warehouse team. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders and preparing them for shipment. This role is fundamental to our order fulfillment process, ensuring that our customers receive precisely what they ordered in a timely manner. You will utilize a barcode scanner to identify items and update inventory, navigate the warehouse efficiently, and work closely with packing and shipping staff. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high productivity standards. A good understanding of warehouse operations and a proactive approach to fulfilling orders are key. - Accurately pick items from warehouse locations according to pick lists or scanner instructions.
- Use handheld scanners to track inventory and confirm picked items.
- Transport picked items to the packing and shipping stations.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear and products are accessible.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE such as safety vests and gloves.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory or product quality to a supervisor immediately.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as stocking or organizing.
- Work efficiently to meet productivity targets and contribute to the overall success of the order fulfillment process.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse picking role is beneficial.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Familiarity with barcode scanners and basic inventory systems.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and lift items up to 40 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be reliable and able to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to follow all Safety protocols and handle products with care.
- Must be comfortable with tasks involving Lifting and repetitive motion.
