Join our thriving logistics operation in Raleigh, North Carolina, as a Shipping Clerk! We are looking for an organized and reliable individual to manage the efficient and accurate processing of all outbound shipments. This role is critical for ensuring that our products reach customers on time and in excellent condition. You will be responsible for generating shipping documentation, coordinating with freight carriers, performing quality checks on outgoing goods, and maintaining detailed records of all shipping activities. Your contribution will directly impact customer satisfaction and the overall efficiency of our supply chain. The ideal candidate possesses strong administrative skills and a proactive approach to workflow management. We value teamwork and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of our Logistics . Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all shipping-related documentation, including invoices, packing slips, and bills of lading.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with national and local shipping carriers.
- Conduct thorough inspections of packages to ensure they are correctly labeled and securely prepared for transit.
- Verify shipment contents against order details to guarantee accuracy.
- Maintain an organized and safe shipping dock area.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams, customer service, and external partners to resolve any shipping discrepancies.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Support inventory management by accurately recording outgoing stock.
- Utilize our Warehouse Management System (WMS) for shipment tracking and reporting.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a shipping or logistics role is advantageous.
- Competent with computer applications, including data entry and basic office software.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Capable of performing duties involving Lifting items up to 50 pounds.
- A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
