Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician for our facility in Portland, Oregon. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall operational readiness of our warehouse equipment and systems. Your technical expertise will ensure the smooth functioning of our logistics operations, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong adherence to all safety protocols. The ability to perform tasks that involve lifting and working in various warehouse conditions is necessary. Proper use of PPE is critical.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on warehouse machinery, including conveyor belts, forklifts, and automated storage systems.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Ensure all equipment is operating safely and meets regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs.
  • Collaborate with warehouse management to schedule maintenance activities.
  • Uphold all company safety policies and procedures, wearing the necessary PPE at all times.
  • Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
  • Support the overall efficiency of our logistics by ensuring equipment reliability.
  • Tasks may involve some manual labor and moderate lifting .

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role, preferably in a warehouse environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics equipment.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • A commitment to maintaining a high standard of workplace safety .
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be comfortable wearing required PPE and working in a warehouse setting.
  • Physical ability to climb, kneel, and perform lifting as required for repairs.
  • Good communication skills.
