We are looking for a diligent Material Handler to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you will be instrumental in the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing the movement and organization of materials. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading shipments, transporting goods within the facility, and ensuring inventory is stored correctly. A strong focus on **safety** is essential, as is adherence to company policies regarding **PPE**. This position offers a great opportunity to be part of a busy **logistics** operation and contribute to efficient supply chain management.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated locations.
- Perform regular **safety** inspections of equipment.
- Adhere to all **PPE** requirements.
- Assist with **Lifting** and moving of materials, potentially exceeding 50 lbs with assistance.
- Follow all **logistics** and warehouse procedures.
- Ensure a clean and orderly work environment.
- Promote a **safety**-first culture among all employees.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar role.
- Ability to operate various types of warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of **logistics** and inventory management.
- Understanding and compliance with **safety** regulations and **PPE** usage.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including significant **Lifting**.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Team-oriented with good communication abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours if needed.
