Seeking a skilled Material Handler for our Miami, Florida warehouse! This role is essential for the smooth operation of our facility, involving the movement and organization of materials and products. You will operate various equipment to transport goods, manage inventory placement, and ensure that materials are readily available for production or shipping. A strong understanding of warehouse flow and a commitment to efficient handling are key. This position requires physical stamina and a dedication to maintaining a safe working environment. You will be an integral part of our Logistics team, ensuring that the right materials are in the right place at the right time. Adherence to all Safety regulations and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ) is paramount to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move goods within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials.
- Organize and stock materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Transport materials to and from various departments as needed.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all Safety protocols.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
- Support shipping and receiving operations as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting up to 60 lbs, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods.
- Strong knowledge of material handling equipment operation and maintenance.
- Understanding of warehouse procedures and Logistics flow.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE .
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
