Seeking a diligent Order Picker to join our team in Dallas, Texas! As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently fulfilling customer orders by retrieving items from warehouse shelves. This role is fundamental to our logistics process, ensuring that our customers receive the correct products in a timely manner. You will work closely with inventory systems and warehouse staff to maintain high levels of productivity and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on customer order forms or electronic pick lists.
- Use handheld scanners or other picking devices to track items picked and update inventory records.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy of quantity and product type.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear and items are stored properly.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and operate equipment safely.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to a supervisor immediately.
- Meet established picking quotas and performance standards.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as stocking or cycle counting.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and pick lists.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) is beneficial.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
