As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise in our warehouse. Your primary duties will include operating various types of forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, and transporting materials throughout the facility. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, as well as adhering to strict safety standards, is crucial for this role. You will play a key part in our logistics process, ensuring that materials are where they need to be, when they need to be there. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving. We value reliability and a commitment to operational excellence. Experience with different types of forklifts and warehouse management systems is highly desirable. Your attention to detail will help prevent errors and damage to goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and retrieve inventory using forklifts.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear.
- Follow all Safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Support shipping and receiving activities as needed.
- Contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and productivity.
This position requires significant physical stamina, including regular lifting and the ability to work in varying warehouse conditions. A strong commitment to safety is non-negotiable.
