We are looking for a dedicated Order Picker to join our vibrant logistics team in Portland, Oregon. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently gathering items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your attention to detail and speed are vital to ensuring timely and correct shipments. This position requires you to read pick lists or utilize scanning equipment to locate products, carefully retrieve them, and prepare them for packing and shipping. You will work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to maintain productivity while adhering to strict safety standards, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The role involves significant movement throughout the warehouse and may require Lifting of various items. A good understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to accuracy are essential. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on order tickets or RF scanner.
- Verify picked items for accuracy in quantity and product type.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, such as cycle counts.
- Operate pallet jacks and other manual lifting devices.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Proper use and care of required PPE.
- Meet established picking quotas and productivity goals.
- Report any discrepancies or damaged items to a supervisor.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
- Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and labels.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE.
- Good work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics setting.
