Our expanding logistics company in Las Vegas, Nevada, is actively seeking certified and experienced Forklift Operators to join our dedicated warehouse team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise is vital for managing inventory flow, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring the timely movement of goods within our facility. This position requires a keen understanding of warehouse operations, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will perform routine inspections of your forklift to ensure it is in safe operating condition and report any maintenance needs. Adherence to all safety regulations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. We value precision and reliability in all aspects of our logistics operations, and your role is central to our success. This job involves significant Lifting and maneuvering of materials, requiring both skill and caution. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Move and stack merchandise in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Ensure correct use of required PPE.
- Follow all logistics and material handling procedures.
- Pick and stage orders as required.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with material handling equipment and logistics practices.
- Commitment to using PPE.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
