Are you a certified Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Huntsville, Alabama? We are hiring a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move materials, load and unload trucks, and assist with inventory management. Your precision and adherence to safety protocols are crucial for maintaining an efficient and secure warehouse environment. We are looking for individuals with excellent operational skills and a commitment to workplace safety. Responsibilities include transporting raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility, ensuring proper stacking and storage of inventory, and assisting with shipping and receiving duties. You will conduct daily inspections of your forklift to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance needs. Adherence to all company safety policies and the mandatory use of PPE is non-negotiable. Significant lifting may be involved in supporting forklift operations. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport inventory to and from storage locations.
- Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Assist with inventory counts and order picking.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- At least 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong commitment to safety and diligent use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
