This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, ensuring that our logistics operations run seamlessly. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory management procedures, conducting regular audits, and resolving discrepancies. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of inventory control systems and logistics best practices. Your role is critical in minimizing loss, optimizing stock levels, and ensuring efficient order fulfillment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS.
- Monitor stock levels and identify reorder needs.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
- Train and guide warehouse staff on inventory procedures.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Strong communication skills.
