Our Virginia Beach, Virginia location is looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our **logistics** team. This role is critical for the smooth operation of our warehouse, focusing on the efficient movement and organization of materials. As a Material Handler, you will operate various equipment to move, load, and unload goods, ensuring that inventory is stored correctly and accessible. A strong emphasis is placed on **safety** in all operations, and you will be required to use **PPE** provided by the company, including safety glasses and gloves. The ability to perform substantial **lifting** is a key requirement for this position. You will play an important part in maintaining the productivity and accuracy of our warehouse. We are seeking individuals who are dependable, safety-conscious, and possess a strong work ethic. Experience with forklifts and other warehouse machinery is highly desirable, and training will be provided to suitable candidates. Your contributions will help ensure the timely and accurate processing of materials. Responsibilities include:
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks and other vehicles
- Moving materials to and from production areas or storage locations
- Verifying materials against shipping and receiving documents
- Stacking and organizing materials in designated areas
- Assisting with inventory counts and stock rotation
- Performing routine checks and basic maintenance on equipment
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures
