We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator in Huntsville, Alabama, to support our busy warehouse operations. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, loading, and unloading materials and products within our facility. This role requires precision, a strong awareness of your surroundings, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. You will operate various types of forklifts to transport goods, stock shelves, and assist in order fulfillment. Your expertise in operating heavy machinery is vital to our logistics chain, ensuring the smooth and timely flow of inventory. We prioritize safety and provide all necessary training and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after use, reporting any issues.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Follow operational procedures to ensure maximum efficiency.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift certification and proven experience operating forklifts are required. Experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is essential. Must be able to perform lifting of up to 50 pounds and be comfortable working in a dynamic environment. Strong knowledge of forklift safety procedures and best practices is a must. A commitment to safety, including the proper use of PPE, is non-negotiable. Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness are important. This position is key to our logistics success.
