We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will play a key part in the initial stages of our logistics process, ensuring that all incoming inventory is received, inspected, and documented accurately. Your responsibilities will include unloading deliveries, checking for damages or discrepancies, and properly storing received goods. Maintaining a safe and organized receiving area is paramount. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to upholding our high standards of Safety. You will be provided with necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and trained on safe material handling techniques. The role involves regular physical activity, including standing, walking, and frequent Lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming freight.
- Inspect goods for damage and verify against shipping documents.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or damages.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory system.
- Stage received goods for further processing or put-away.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety guidelines and protocols.
- Utilize required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse roles is advantageous.
- Ability to perform consistent Lifting and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Good communication skills.
