We have an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler at our Houston, Texas location! If you're physically fit, safety-conscious, and have experience with warehouse equipment, we want to hear from you. This role is essential for managing the flow of goods within our facility, ensuring materials are moved efficiently and safely to support our comprehensive logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other industrial trucks to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring secure transport.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility.
- Stage materials for production lines or outbound shipping.
- Accurately track material movement using the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards.
- Strictly follow all safety guidelines, including mandatory use of PPE and proper Lifting techniques.
- Assist in inventory control activities and cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is required.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform demanding physical tasks, including regular Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Familiarity with logistics and warehouse operations.
- Good mechanical aptitude for equipment checks.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
