We are seeking enthusiastic Picker/Packers to join our busy warehouse in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items for customer orders and carefully packing them for shipment. This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that our products reach customers efficiently and in perfect condition. You will navigate the warehouse, identify products, and prepare them for dispatch, requiring a keen eye for detail and a commitment to speed and accuracy. We provide thorough training on our picking and packing procedures, as well as safety protocols. You will work as part of a collaborative team, striving to meet daily order fulfillment targets. This is a physically active role that involves frequent standing, walking, and lifting. Adherence to all PPE requirements and company safety guidelines is mandatory. Your role directly impacts customer satisfaction, making accuracy and quality of work paramount. Familiarity with RF scanning technology is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items according to order lists or RF scanner directions.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Select appropriate packing materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Pack orders neatly and efficiently, applying labels and seals.
- Verify order accuracy before shipment.
- Operate packing equipment such as tape machines and box erectors.
- Maintain a clean and organized packing station and work area.
- Adhere to all PPE requirements and warehouse safety regulations.
- Meet established productivity standards for picking and packing.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Understanding of warehouse safety and logistics principles.
Requirements:
- Must wear required PPE, including safety footwear and gloves.
- Must be able to perform manual lifting and packing duties.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.
