Our Omaha, Nebraska facility is looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our vital logistics team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will conduct regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to ensure optimal stock levels and reduce errors. This position requires a sharp analytical mind, exceptional organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management principles. You will work closely with receiving, picking, and shipping departments to resolve inventory-related issues and improve overall efficiency. A commitment to safety is paramount, as you will be working around moving equipment and stock. Adherence to all PPE requirements is mandatory. Your work will directly impact our ability to fulfill orders accurately and on time, making your role indispensable to our success. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is essential. You will be responsible for analyzing inventory data, identifying trends, and recommending process improvements. The ability to work independently and solve complex problems is highly valued. This role involves both desk-based analysis and physical verification of stock. We are looking for someone proactive who can contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Regular reporting on inventory accuracy and key performance indicators will be required. Strong communication skills are needed to liaise with various team members and management. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and root causes of errors.
- Implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve stock-related issues.
- Monitor stock levels and report on potential shortages or overages.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
- Generate reports on inventory accuracy and key metrics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with WMS software and MS Office Suite (Excel is critical).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical inventory checks and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management best practices.
- Knowledge of safety protocols in a warehouse setting.
