We are looking for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring that all goods are accurately received, inspected, and documented. Your meticulous approach will be key to maintaining the integrity of our inventory and supporting our overall Logistics chain. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to upholding high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify packing slips against purchase orders, and inspect for damage.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label all incoming inventory with appropriate identification.
- Communicate any discrepancies, damages, or short shipments to management.
- Organize and stage incoming goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and safe receiving area, adhering to all Safety guidelines.
- Wear and utilize appropriate PPE at all times, such as safety vests and gloves.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, contributing to overall team success.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in data entry and inventory management software.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of warehouse procedures and Logistics flow.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all protocols.
