The Material Handler will operate various types of equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, and preparing materials for production or shipment. A strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols is essential, and you will be required to use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform heavy lifting of up to 60 lbs regularly and operate machinery safely. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and stack materials according to established procedures.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Ensure all materials are properly labeled and stored.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain equipment in good working condition and report any issues.
- Wear and utilize all required PPE.
- Support logistics team with material movement as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is required.
- Valid forklift certification is a strong asset.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 60 lbs.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Team-oriented and able to collaborate effectively.
- Must be reliable and committed to safety.
