Join our vibrant logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana, as an Order Picker! We are looking for meticulous and efficient individuals to accurately pick and prepare customer orders for shipment. Your role will be essential in ensuring that our clients receive the correct products in a timely manner. This position involves navigating the warehouse, identifying items using pick lists or RF scanners, and preparing them for the packing station. The ideal candidate is organized, has excellent attention to detail, and can thrive in a fast-paced warehouse setting. A strong commitment to safety and teamwork is vital for success.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using pick lists, RF scanners, or other provided technology.
- Locate products efficiently within the warehouse to fulfill orders.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and hand trucks as necessary.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Comfortable with lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
